Here's a profile of my good friend Jakartass

There's no accounting for the foibles enumerated in Indonesia’s No. 1 blog (it says here). Life for Jakartass, whose blog is to be found at jakartass.blogspot.com , an expat long-resident in Jakarta, is one of exhilarations, encounters, occasional frustrations and many what-the-fcuk happenings.

A self-confessed auto-didactic, Jakartass has been accused of suffering from ADD. Perhaps it is his extra-ordinary eclecticism which confounds. You don’t have to be an Addick ~ that’s a Charlton Athletic supporter ~ to appreciate his concern for underdogs.

He writes about pomposity, corruption, the rape of the environment and hippie music.

He is all things to all expats, truly an alien with thoughts of home.
